The Island's Meat Plant needs investment from the taxpayer if it's to survive, according to a former farmer and auctioneer.
It's as Tynwald prepares to discuss a report recommending Treasury takes over the running of it from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
It also recommends completely reforming its structure, management and governance.
