Row over boat checkup plans
Fishermen in Scotland have accused the Manx government of 'discrimination', after new regulations affecting the scallop industry were announced.
From next week, all boats trawling in Manx waters must report to local port authorities each day.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it's in order to ensure reporting requirements are kept to.
But Kirkcudbright Council has objected to the plans, saying neither they nor workers, who depend on Manx waters, were consulted.
Council leader Elaine Murray, who has now asked Scottish ministers to intervene, says it's a step too far:
