Question prompted by constituents' concerns
A Rushen MHK says he's pleased to see efforts are being made towards easing 'significant demand' on the Island's respite care unit for adults with learning difficulties.
The Hollydene facility, based within Radcliffe Villas in Douglas, supports 52 service users compared with 38 in 2018.
The site's budget has increased this year, multiple recruitment drives have been rolled out to fill vacancies and plans are in for a new purpose-built facility.
The figures have been revealed in a recent Tynwald Question for Written Answer.
Juan Watterson told Manx Radio he asked the question after being contacted by concerned constituents:
