HoK takes on TT and drug-related death

A week after Tynwald Court last met it's the now the turn of the elected chamber of the Manx Parliament to congregate.

 

The House of Keys meets today (23 May) to discuss a host of different business including the TT brand, parking tickets and drug-related deaths.

 

There's only five questions for oral answer at today's sitting - the first comes from Douglas North MHK David Ashford.

 

He's asking the Infrastructure Minister why more than 15% of parking tickets are successfully appealed - he's also pressing MUA chairman Alex Allinson on what impact assessments the Authority undertakes for businesses affect by it's roadworks.

 

Amongst the other questioners is Ayre and Michael MHK Tim Baker, who wants to know what the Department of Economic Development is doing to maximise the value of the TT brand, and how they protect against unauthorised usage.

 

Moving to the eleven submissions for written answer Ms Edge is asking how many cases the Manx Industrial Relations Service has dealt with in the last three years.

 

Whilst Dr Allinson wants to know from the Health Minister how many drug related deaths were recorded on the Island over the last five years.
