Backbench alliance called for government to be honest with public over 'funding gap'
It's going to be difficult for government to achieve the aims of its Island Plan if it doesn't align its budget with the priorities set out in the document.
That's from Douglas South MHK Claire Christian, who's one of three backbench members to have formed an alliance to work on an alternative policy direction.
Among its priorities, the group is calling for government to be honest with the public over what it's described as a 'financial gap'.
Mrs Christian says the way public funds are currently being used means the Island Plan is not achievable:
RPU will be 'out in force' to stop drink and drug drivers
Ramsey Commissioners to spend more than £8k on deckchairs and storage unit
