Charities hope to raise money to replace two scanners
Two local health charities are aiming to raise £1.5m for new CT scanners at Noble's Hospital.
Manx Brest Cancer Support and Mannin Cancers are raising funds to replace both scanners and create a new CT suite.
The Department of Health and Social Care says the project would give the Island a state-of-the-art facility which would rival anything available at a UK hospital, as well as reducing waiting lists and cutting the number of patient transfers to the UK.
The scanners are used in the diagnosis of various types of cancer as well as cardiac conditions.
