MHK speaks out about edited videos and cloned accounts
The use of social media to spread fake news and misrepresent politicians is a big concern, according to one MHK.
Garff member Martyn Perkins attended a Commonwealth Parliamentary Association conference on the issue earlier this year in Guernsey.
Mr Perkins recently discovered his Twitter account had been cloned by someone pretending to be him.
He says there are lots of ways modern technology can be used to deceive:
