Ronaldsway Airport had to be closed yesterday
Ronaldsway Airport says it was vital to close the airfield, after an off duty staff member reported sightings of a drone within the boundaries of the airport.
Legal restrictions prevent anyone flying a drone within 5km of the airspace without prior consent.
At around 2.30pm yesterday (9 August), all flights were grounded for a short period and emergency services were called.
