Seasonal parking available on Loch Prom
Seasonal parking is now available on Loch Promenade in Douglas.
It's been launched ahead of the annual Christmas lights switch-on later.
The Department of Infrastructure's Highway Services has clarified some key points:
- Parking is for cars and light vans only
- Parking is only permitted in the designated area on Loch Promenade (there is no parking on Harris Promenade near the War Memorial)
- Access is via the entrance opposite the Gaiety Theatre, with traffic running one way - south
- Exit is next to No.1 shelter opposite the exit to Victoria Street
- Parking disks must be displayed
- Maximum stay is 2 hours (or 4 hours when displaying a disabled badge)
- Maximum speed along the walkway is 10 mph – please take care as pedestrians and cyclists are still using the promenade.
Walkway parking will be available over the whole festive period until the morning of Thursday 8 January.
