Decision must be made before the end of June
A decision on Crogga's variation of licence request will be made by the end of June at the absolute latest.
The infrastructure minister has been responding to a question in Tynwald.
Crogga wants permission to begin drilling for gas in Manx waters before completing a 3D seismic survey.
