'Clear statement' needed on future of sidecars says MHK

Tim Glover says the immediate question is what will happen to the class at the Southern 100

'A clear statement' is needed from the TT organisers to ensure the running of the sidecar class at the races next year.

That's the call being made by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover, who says the focus now shifts to the Southern 100 and if the class will be allowed to run during the event.

Yesterday, a decision was made to cancel the class for the rest of the TT fortnight.

The Isle of Man TT Races' Clerk of the Course, Gary Thompson, said it's not the end for sidecars at the event.

Mr Glover's questioning if it's the same equipment and regulations, would organisers allow it to run.
