
The Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce is welcoming Chief Minister Allan Bell's proposals to streamline government.
The Council of Ministers' report on Modernising Ministerial Government goes before Tynwald this week (21 Jan) and the Chamber is urging members to support the six recommendations.
If approved, it will see the creation of a new Cabinet Office and minister with responsibility for policy and reform across all government departments.
Recommendations also include dissolving the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure and transferring its functions to other departments.
The Manx Electricity and Water and Sewerage authorities would be merged.
