DEFA minister speaks about importance of preserving heritage
Eight major planning applications for the Castle Mona have been made which will take 'some time to process'.
That's from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture which says officers regularly visit the building to advise the new owners on modifications to the heritage site.
Minister Clare Barber has told Manx Radio that work is already underway to remove some of the 'modernised' elements of the building.
However she says it's important to preserve certain parts of it:
