Weekend Weather Problems Already

With last Saturday's sporting fixtures severely affected by the weather, the prospects for this weekend already look bleak.

More heavy rain and a dreadful forecast for the remainder of the week won't help the state of pitches around the Isle of Man.

Already, Rugby's Manx Shield game between Castletown and Emerging Nomads at Poulsom Park has been postponed again.

The other fixture, the first leg of the Cheshire Plate Qualifier between Southern Nomads and Ramsey has been switched from King William's College to Mooragh Park.

More heavy rain is forecast for tomorrow....and although Friday could provide a lull....rain and possibly storm force winds are expected to move in during Saturday.

Last Saturday's entire Football programme was washed away, and both Rugby and Hockey were hit by postponements.
