Two tries from wing Ali Trace were the difference as struggling Ramsey snatched a bonus point win defeating Oldershaw 28-24 in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two.
Ramsey led 20-7 at half-time thanks to Trace’s first try and supporting scores from Jared Callister and Craig Long, plus a penalty and conversion from Fintan Cummins.
Oldershaw kept in touch with a try from wing Mike Banks, plus a conversion from Mark Hallam.
Olly Gregory snatched a try for the visitors early in the second half and with Hallam’s conversion Oldershaw were right back in it.
Trace’s second try put daylight between the sides before a late score from Oldershaw prop Steve Clarke brought them back into it again, although Ramsey held out during a nervous final five minutes.
