Riders sought to represent Isle of Man in the Faroe Islands
Do you think you could represent the Isle of Man in cycling at the next International Island Games?
With just under a year to go until the latest event, expressions of interest have now opened to be part of the Manx squad heading to the Faroe Islands in 2027.
Anyone who wants to be considered is asked to get in touch via email at robertsorby@online.sch.im.
During the most recent International Island Games in Orkney in 2025, the Isle of Man fielded men's teams in both the road and mountain bike events, claiming eight medals overall (two gold, three silver and three bronze).
Two years prior to that at the event in Guernsey in 2023, the Isle of Man also took a women's squad with the two lineups going on to secure six medals (one gold, two silver and three bronze) that year between them.
The 2027 International Island Games in the Faroe Islands are scheduled to take place from Saturday, 3 July to Friday, 9 July next year.
Separately, only one Isle of Man team has so far been confirmed for the games, with the Manx tennis squad unveiled last Saturday (24 October).
