Tom and Breeshey are number one!

Maiden title for Gandy; three in a row for Jansen

Tom Gandy and Breeshey Jansen are 2017 Isle of Man golf champions.

They produced commanding displays to dominate the Grant Thornton showpiece finals at Ramsey on Saturday.

Gandy clinched his maiden title with a 5&4 success over Jonathan Corke.

He was thrilled to have claimed a trophy which until now had been elusive.

Meanwhile, Breeshey Jansen was also dominant as she ran out a 12&11 winner over Shirley Price.

After defending her title in a repeat of last year’s final, she became only the fourth woman to secure three triumphs in a row.
