It was a frustrating weekend for Ballaugh World Enduro rider David Knight who was competing in the opening round of the 2009 WEC season in Portugal.
He managed just one sixth place in the GP of Portugal staged in Penafiel.
His troubles started early on day one and he struggled to eleventh in class in the opening enduro test.
Knight then had to retire on day two, after catching his foot under the bike's rear wheel.
There were fears he might have damaged his knee, but he hopes to be fit for the next round in Spain this coming weekend.
