Williams double secures Spaniard success
Rushen United have claimed the Ascot Hotel Junior Cup in emphatic fashion.
Two goals in each half without reply meant they cruised to a 4-0 victory over Peel in Manx football’s old firm clash at the Bowl.
Captain Andrew Moody opened the scoring before Mike Williams doubled the southerners’ lead.
Karl Stanniford added the goal of the game with a long-range strike after the break and Williams later grabbed his second to secure the silverware.
Rushen also knocked out Combination One champions Old Boys and runners-up Corinthians en route to the final.
