Douglas beaten by league leaders at Port-e-Chee

Vagabonds finally bagged their first win of the season beating Orrell 26-16 at a chilly Ballafletcher with a dominant second half performance after trailing 16-5 at the break.
Orrell made a flying start with two early penalties from Craig Thomas.
Dan Huxley and Joe Hamilton then added tries in quick succession before Mitch Wells pulled one back for Vagas before half time.
In the second half Vagas cut loose - Tom Gacoyne powered in for their second try and he was followed by Nathan Wyllie for the third.
With two minutes remaining Jon Reilly secured the try bonus point and with Cam Findlay converting all three, Vagas were too far in front to be caught.
League leaders win at Port-e-Chee
Sandbach claimed the honours in the only Regional 2 North West game played this weekend, beating Douglas 17-0 at Port-e-Chee and extended their lead at the top to four points, although they have played more games than nearest rivals Firwood Waterloo.
Douglas lost the away fixture 50-21 so are showing improvement however it wasn’t enough to overcome a well drilled Sandbach.
Douglas travel to Altrincham Kersal next week for a mid table clash, Kersal sit just one point above Douglas in the standings.
Nomads win friendly
There was a friendly game at the Mooragh Park and Southern Nomads walked away with the bragging rights and a 34-31 win.
Tony Quinn picked up two tries and there were also scores from Finn McGregor, John Dutnall, Dick Seed and Mike Craine with Mark Young converting two.
Josh Corteen, Jared May, Conor Goodall, Will Millsop and Sam Kennaugh all crossed for Ramsey, Tom Moffatt converted two and Scott Kneale one.
