With Fintan Cummins in the sin-bin, stand-in kicker Ben Harding bagged two penalties to put Ramsey in front.
Helsby hit back with two penalties of their own before Cummins returned to the field to give his side the lead with a try which he converted himself to give Ramsey a 13-6 half-time lead.
Cummins nailed two second half penalties to put the game beyond doubt and keep Ramsey two points clear at the top of the table.
