Harriet Pryke’s storming start to 2012 continued at the Birmingham Games on Saturday.
The Manx athlete set a new IOM indoor record of 55.09 seconds, storming past GB athlete Kim Wall in the last 30 metres to win her heat at the National Indoor Arena.
It was the second weekend in a row Harriet had broken Island records.
Last Saturday, she competed in the senior 400 metres at the London Indoor Games at Lee Valley Athletics Centre, securing a new indoor personal best time and IOM record of 55.55 sec (breaking her own IOM indoor record of 55.74 set last February in Sheffield).
Last month, she also won the 400 metres final at the North of England Indoor Athletics Championship in convincing style.
Harriet will compete in the 2012 UK Indoor Track and Field Championships in Sheffield next weekend.
