Becomes third-fastest Manx runner over the distance
Alan Corlett recorded what's believed to be the third-fastest half marathon time by a Manx athlete at the weekend.
He finished the race in Copenhagen in a personal best time of 66.33, which was enough for a place just inside the top 50.
According to David Griffiths of manxathletics.com, only Keith Gerrard (63.39, Great North Run, 2011) and Ollie Lockley (64.46, Reading earlier this year) have run faster.
Corlett's time was 20 seconds quicker than the previous third-best one, which was set by Steve Kelly in the Syd Quirk Half Marathon back in 1978.
