Torrin Lennon takes a victory in championship's opening phase
Another young Island prospect in motocross racing has made a winning start to his season in Spain.
Eight-year-old Torrin Lennon managed to claim a victory in the Auto MX50 class during the first round of the FAM Andalusian Motocross Championship on Sunday, 16 February.
That win came in the opening race at the Manuel Clemente Circuit Chiclana de la Frontera saw Lennon finish first in class just over 16 seconds ahead of his nearest challenger.
This was followed by a second-place finish in race two - bested only by Samuel Adam Gardyna by just over seven seconds - with Lennon going to finish the round second overall in class.
Lennon will return to action in the second phase of the seven-round championship on 1-2 March on the Costa del Sol Motocross Circuit at Casares.
