Island side hit six past Chorley Phoenix to reach second round
The Isle of Man Under-16 girls squad got their latest campaign in the England Hockey Tier 2 Championships off to a winning start at the weekend.
The Manx side earned a 6-3 victory over Chorley Phoenix Under-16's on Sunday (22 October) to progress.
A brace from Fearne Bregazzi and then a goal apiece for Gypsy-Mae Quirk, Lucy Cartwright, Molly Wheeler and Macey Crellin helped secure passage to the second round.
Elsewhere, five other Isle of Man junior sides - U18 Girls, U16 Boys, U14 Girls and U14 Boys - are still yet to start their EH Championship campaigns after their respective matches were postponed from Sunday, 8 October, due to sailing disruption.
Those fixtures are still to be rearranged.
Meanwhile, the Isle of Man men's senior team will be competing in EH Men's Tier 2 Championship this coming Saturday (28 October), they'll face Timperley Men's 2s at the NSC in Douglas at 1pm.
