Report by Ben Cunningham:
All to play for as we approach the halfway point of the 2026 mixed season.
In the Mixed Premier League this weekend, league leaders, Bacchas A will hope to keep their perfect start going when the play Valkyrs B who are still looking for their first points of the season.
A close game could be on the cards as Castletown Celts and Valkyrs A meet in the south of the island with both sides coming into this game on good runs of form whilst Vikings A will be hoping to take maximum points and keep the pressure on at the top of the league when they play a Bacchas B side who know any points they can get are very important.
Another side who knows that any points they can possibly get are important are Castletown Southerners, they play Harlequins A who just narrowly lost to the league leaders last weekend.
In Mixed Division One, league leaders, Vikings B will be hoping to keep their winning start going when they face third-placed Valkyrs C who'll be hoping they can get something from this game to keep the pressure on at the top.
Harlequins B - who have had a mixed bag of results so far - face Bacchas C who got their first win last weekend, and Ramsey A welcome Castletown Cammags to the north of the island.
In Mixed Division Two, Castletown Cosney - who got their first point of the season last weekend in a draw with Ramsey Ravens - play Vikings C who beat their D team last time out.
Vikings D play league leaders, Bacchas Mixed Colts who have been looking very strong so far, and Valkyrs D face Castletown Cushags in a match that could go either way.
In Mixed Division Three, the top four all meet this weekend - league leaders, Harlequins C face Valkyrs Mixed Colts who have had a great start being one of two newly-formed sides in this league whilst the other newly-formed team, Ramsey Robins face Bacchas D
Elsewhere, bottom-of-the-table Ramsey Rookies play Harlequins D who have had a mixed bag of results so far and Vikings E play Castletown Carrick in a game that looks very close.
