Manxman Mark Higgins has taken a big step towards winning the British Rally Championship.
That’s after the penultimate round on Saturday as he and co-driver Bryan Thomas took the honours in the British Round of the Ulster Rally.
Higgins went into the round tied for first place but with nearest rival Keith Cronin forced to retire on Friday night, he now has a 20 point lead in the standings.
He finished fourth overall in the event ahead of Gwyndaf Evans/Chris Patterson and Alastair Fisher/Rory Kennedy in the British standings
