
Manx athlete Keith Gerrard set a new Natwest Island Games record on his way to winning the 1500 metre final today.
Gerrard's gold medal time of 3:48.45 edges out the time of 3.49.58, set in 2009 by Guernsey's Lee Merrien.
Second place went to Joseph Wade of the Isle of Wight, Andre Kahlström of Gotland took bronze.
There was also a silver for Kevin Loundes in the men's 10,000 metre final, silver for the women's 4 x 100 metre relay team and bronze for the men's 4 x 100 metre team. There were also silver in the men's 4x400m final and another in the women's.
