Football: Three teams win as 2026/27 Women's League gets underway

Union Mills, Douglas Royal and Peel all get winning starts

Three teams made winning starts to the Women's Canada Life League on Sunday (6 September). 

Douglas Royal and Union Mills took to the pitch for the first time of the 2026/27 season. 

The Ballafletcher side beat rivals Corinthians 4-2, while The Millers won 3-0 against Rushen United Las Mujeres. 

Meanwhile, Peel took three points after Onchan could not field a team for the fixture.
