Big Combination Two title clash also on the cards this weekend

The intense Isle of Man football schedule resumes this weekend, with the last-eight stage of two cup competitions forming the majority of the agenda.

Tomorrow (2 May) will feature the quarter-finals of this year's Manx Quality Sheds Hospital Cup as well as a selection of important league matches.

Meanwhile, the quarter-finals of the Ascot Hotel Junior Cup make up the entirety of Sunday's programme (3 May).

Among the Hospital Cup encounters this weekend, newly-crowned Ardern & Druggan Ltd Division 2 champions, Colby head to fellow Division 2 outfit, St George's; Rushen United host St Mary's and Onchan take on Braddan.

The remaining quarter-final tie between Corinthians and Ayre United has been postponed due to players being called up to the Isle of Man men's national team this weekend.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Foxdale - who now have back-to-back wins in the Canada Life Men's Premier League - will be looking to keep their faint top-flight survival hopes alive, needing three points at home to St John's United.

The other premier league contest between Douglas High School Old Boys (DHSOB.) and Peel has already been awarded as a walkover to the latter, confirming Peel as Canada Life Men's Premier League champions ahead of the weekend.

There's also a huge top-of-the-table battle in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Combination Two as Pulrose United host Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) - the former could go top of the table with victory.
