Thursday evening's Ramsey Bakery-sponsored Firemans Run has been postponed until further notice because of the poor weather forecast.
Organisers say they had concerns for the safety of competitors, with the possibility of storm force winds and gusts of up to 80mph.
They will announce a new date for it soon.
