Island rider among nominated entries for next month's event

Manx equestrian star, Yasmin Ingham has been long-listed to compete at the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) World Championships next month.

The Island rider - who's based in Cheshire - is among the 15 athlete and horse combinations submitted to the FEI to represent Great Britain at the event in Aachen, Germany from 11-23 August.

As part of the entry, Ingham's horse would be Gypsy du Loir which is owned by Janette Chinn and The Sue Davies Fund.

Ingham herself is a former world champion having won the prestigious event with horse, Banzai du Loir back in 2022.

Five combinations will make up the final British Equestrian team whilst there will also be non-travelling reserves with the final squad to be confirmed at a later date.

British Equestrian says selection decisions are subject to the athlete and horse maintaining fitness and performance.
