Douglas defeated their arch rivals Vagabonds in the all-Manx South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two clash on Saturday.
An early exchange of penalties between Leigh Kennaugh and Bryn Snellgrove had the teams deadlocked at 3-3 after 20 minutes.
Kennaugh’s second penalty put Vagas in front as half-time approached but it was Douglas who led at the interval when try machine Will Latta chased up his own grubber for the opening touchdown and an 8-6 lead.
In the second half, Douglas ran away with the game.
Two tries from Christian Brew, plus one each from Ryan Maddox and Snellgrove, gave them a commanding lead.
Vagas added to their tally with a try from Akkie van den Berg and a penalty and conversion from Kennaugh, but it was too little too late.
Ramsey’s poor season continued with a 29-12 defeat away at Dukinfield, which keeps them rooted to the foot of South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two.
Lance Wyllie bagged two tries for Ramsey and their other four points came courtesy of a conversion from vice-captain Fintan Cummins.
