Plans for state-of-the-art facility were announced earlier this year
It's hoped a new state-of-the-art indoor cricket centre for the Isle of Man can open in the coming months.
That's according to the Island's cricket development officer after plans for the facility were announced earlier this year.
Based at the former Panelcraft building on Carrs Lane in Tromode, it's proposed the centre will offer year-round training for all age groups and serve as a base for the Isle of Man Cricket Association.
Greig Wright believes having access to such services throughout the year would only be a positive for the local game:
Separately, the senior domestic season on Island underwent a number of changes for the 2025 campaign.
These included an increase in 20-over format matches and the introduction of a T10 competition to encourage more players to get involved, allow clubs to enter more teams and free up time around the sport on matchdays.
Speaking to Manx Radio's Darren Timson, Mr Wright explained how the new-look formats have been received so far:
