On his own in second in most wins list
Mark Cavendish has made Tour de France history this afternoon.
The Manx Missile edged out Marcel Kittel to the line to take Stage Six to win for the third time this year.
More importantly it was the 29th victory of his career and takes him to outright second in the most stage wins in Tour history.
Cavendish is now one clear of Frenchman Bernard Hinault and five behind five-time Tour winner Eddy Merckx of Belgium.
It was also Cav's 140th win since turning professional in 2007.
