
Manx cycling star Mark Cavendish says he's delighted to have been named Isle of Man Sportsman of the Year for 2009.
Last year he won six stages at the Tour de France, including the final one into Paris, and became the most successful British rider in history.
Cav has received many plaudits in recent months, with nominations for BBC Sports Personality and the Lauerus World Awards.
But he says his home event is always special and gives him a chance to thank people for their help and support (play audio file):
