Manxman goes down on Tirreno Adriatico opener
Mark Cavendish was involved in another crash today.
He came off whilst taking part in the opening team time trial at the Tirreno Adriatico in Italy.
The Manxman sustained cuts and bruises to his face and road rash on his right arm and leg, but managed to get back on his bike and finish the time trial.
He's out of the rest of the race, though, as he missed the cut-off time
Team Dimension Data Director Rolf Aldag says it was likely Cav went over a pothole.
He also crashed during the Abu Dhabi Tour last month, with the concussion he sustained forcing him out of that race early.
