It's hoped the new BMX track at Noble's Park will host major events which could attract hundreds of people from the United Kingdom to compete.
The track was officially opened a couple of weeks ago and although it still needs some minor work, it is up and running.
Douglas councillor Stephen Pitts told Graham Bell organisers will now start looking into the feasibility of putting on big events:
