Whites take massive step towards Premier League survival
Bacchas B's chances of top flight survival received a major lift last night as they beat Harlequins A 4-2 at the NSC.
Two goals each for Craig Leece and Martin Davies helped Bacchas climb three-points above their opponents and condemn Quins to a seventh straight league defeat.
A goal either side of half-time from George Ratcliffe and Chris Cave wasn't enough for Quins as they now face an end to their two-season stay in the PwC Mixed Premier League.
They'll need to win two of their remaining three games to stand any chance of escaping the drop due to their vastly inferior goal difference.
In contrast, Bacchas B know that a victory in the reverse fixture on the final day will guarantee them a place in mixed hockey's top tier for a second successive season.
