The Chairman of the TT Marshals' Association has publicly apologised for the shortage of volunteers that dogged this year's Manx Grand Prix, and was partly responsible for a race being scrapped for the first time in the event's 84 year history.
The decline in numbers is attributed to several factors, including the manslaughter enquiry which followed the fatal accident at the 26th milestone at the end of this year's Senior TT.
On Manx Radio today Mr Roger Hurst spoke of the decision to cancel the Senior Manx Grand Prix, in the wake of Friday's bad weather, and appealed for marshals for TT 2008 (audio file attached):
