But FC Isle of Man Manager says good work ethic will be key

After claiming a late draw with ten men against the league leaders last week, FC Isle of Man are on the road once more in the NWCFL Premier Division this weekend.

Tomorrow afternoon (12 September), they face a Nelson side who - like 'The Ravens' - have had a strong start to the 2026/27 campaign.

FC Isle of Man Manager, Lee Dixon will be back in the dugout for the Manx side having now completed a two-match touchline ban.

He says - given positive performances so far - his squad has no need to fear anyone in the division right now, but that a strong work ethic will be paramount to keeping the results coming:

This weekend's meeting in Lancashire will be the first ever between the two sides.

Just three points separate Nelson in third to FC Isle of Man in sixth - a win for the Islanders this weekend could see them leapfrog their hosts on goal difference.

Arron Ripley's Nelson side come into the weekend with three wins from their last four, the most recent of those being a 6-1 dismantling of AFC Liverpool last Saturday (5 September).

FC Isle of Man, meanwhile, have only tasted defeat once so far across seven games.

Dixon makes two changes from the squad which earned that late draw with Burscough six days ago.

At least one of those is enforced with Callum Sherry suspended after picking up a red card against Burscough whilst Michael Williams also drops out.
