More leisure facilities and venues for young people to get together are in the pipeline.
Two years ago, the chief minister asked a working group to find out what youngsters between the ages of 14 and 23 really wanted to see provided.
Its findings have been out for consultation and 19 firm recommendations are outlined in a Council of Ministers report.
It seems many young people want more casual facilities like skate parks, youth shelters, cafes, and places to have a kickabout.
Former Education Minister Anne Craine, who led the working group, says sporty youngsters do very well, but there is a need for more low-key facilities:
