Hooper wants intergenerational fairness in policy
An MHK says government should prioritise supporting younger people, not just older generations.
Ramsey member Lawrie Hooper says often policy doesn't reflect changes in society, and the growing wealth gap between the old and the young.
Today (28 Nov) in the House of Keys he asked the Minister for Policy and Reform Chris Thomas MHK what plans government has to address intergenerational fairness.
He replied the issue was a challenge for policymakers in issues like the funding of care, housing and public sector pensions.
