The warning will come into force from 8.30pm
A yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping will come into force tonight (1 March).
Forecasters at Ronaldsway Met Office say strong to gale force southerly winds will develop this evening and combine with rough seas to give overtopping of water, spray and debris onto windward coastal roads and promenades around the time of high tide.
Areas most affected will be central to the northern end of Douglas promenade, Laxey promenade, Castletown promenade, Shore Road (Rushen), Chapel Bay (Port St. Mary) and to a lesser extent Ramsey promenade.
The warning will come into force from 8.30pm until 12.30am (2 March).
