145 sq km Walney extension
The Irish Sea is now home to the world's largest wind farm.
Danish energy firm Orsted has completed the construction of 87 wind turbines, off the Cumbrian coast.
The Walney Extension spans 145 square kilometres, roughly the size of 20,000 football pitches.
Capable of generating 695 megawatts of renewable energy, the wind farm has the potential to power 600,000 homes in England.
