Reforms pushed back due to 'issues over summer recess and Tynwald deadline'
A vote on suspending the Island's work permit system has been delayed until next month.
Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston had been due to ask Tynwald for support to make changes to the current rules later this month.
However, the Department for Enterprise has confirmed that this will now take place in November due to "timing issues over the summer recess and the deadline for uploading to the Register of Business."
The proposals will need to be taken across two sittings, with a further vote expected in December ahead of the reforms coming into place on 1 January next year.
