Port Erin Coastguard and the ambulance service were called out to assist after she suffered leg injuries
A woman had to be rescued from The Sloc this afternoon after a ‘pilgrimage’ to a remote location went wrong.
Port Erin Coastguard and the ambulance service were called out to assist after she suffered leg injuries.
They used a stretcher and line rescue equipment to bring her to safety.
The coastguard says in a ‘bizarre coincidence’ a relative of the woman was also rescued, from the same location in 2010, after going to the location where their relation’s ashes are scattered.
