Port Erin Commissioners are the latest local authority to announce an increase in rates.
They are going up by 15 pence in the pound, to 271 pence in the pound, from April 1.
It's a rise of 5.86 per cent and the southern board joins the likes of near neighbours Castletown, and Peel, in charging rate payers more for the coming year.
As in Castletown and Peel, Port Erin's commissioners are citing a near-trebling of waste charges by the Department of Local Government and the Environment as the reason, although the move still has to be ratified by Tynwald next month.
