Keys speaker absent from Tynwald on Tuesday
Tynwald will now be asked next month to support the building of a new national war memorial for the Isle of Man.
Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson was to raise the issue this week, but the matter was postponed in his absence due to illness.
Mr Watterson will ask colleagues at the November sitting to form a new committee to explore the options next year, marking a hundred years since the Armistice of the First World War.
He says it will always be a salient issue, though:
