MNFU warns the Island could regularly see food shortages in the next decade

The Isle of Man could regularly see food shortages in the next few years if its farming industry isn't better protected.

The warning comes from the Manx National Farmers' Union.

Its president Ean Parsons says a number of issues are impacting the industry, including the long-term effects of Brexit, the war in Ukraine and the cost of living crisis.

But he says empty shelves could become more commonplace if nothing is done:
